1. Overview The Honest Coconut ("Company," "we," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and their authorized representatives. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information, including information collected through our SMS messaging program.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information provided directly by account administrators and authorized users, including:

  • Business name and contact information

  • Names and email addresses of authorized representatives

  • Mobile phone numbers registered for SMS communications

  • SMS opt-in consent records, including the date, time, and method of opt-in

  • Transaction and order history

  • Message logs and message interaction data (delivery status, timestamps, replies) for transactional and recordkeeping purposes

3. How We Collect Mobile Phone Numbers

Mobile phone numbers are collected in two ways:

Through Client Account administrators. When a Client Account signs a delivery contract with The Honest Coconut, the contract includes explicit SMS consent language authorizing the registration of company-provided mobile phone numbers. Account administrators then register authorized employee phone numbers through our customer portal at https://thehonestcoconut.com.

Through individual employee opt-in confirmation. Each registered phone number receives a welcome SMS and must reply "1" to confirm individual opt-in before the number becomes active for SMS communications.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Fulfill delivery services under contract

  • Send transactional SMS messages, including order confirmations, delivery status updates, ETA notifications, and order coordination

  • Communicate account status and service updates

  • Manage authorized user accounts

  • Maintain accurate billing and invoicing records

  • Maintain records of consent, opt-in, and opt-out events

  • Comply with legal obligations

5. SMS Communications

Phone numbers registered with our platform are used solely for transactional SMS communications related to your account and orders. We do not use registered phone numbers for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies based on your order activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out at any time.

6. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or SMS delivery providers, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share information with service providers (such as our SMS messaging platform and cloud hosting providers) who assist in operating our platform, subject to confidentiality obligations and only to the extent necessary to provide their services. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

7. Data Security We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

8. Data Retention We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, regulatory, and business purposes. Records of SMS consent, opt-in, and opt-out events are retained in accordance with applicable telecommunications recordkeeping requirements.

9. Your Rights and Choices

SMS opt-out. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP (or any registered opt-out keyword) to any message you receive from us.

Access and correction. Authorized account administrators may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with their account by contacting us at hello@thehonestcoconut.com.

Individual users. Authorized representatives whose phone numbers are registered may contact us directly to request information about, or removal of, their phone number from our SMS program.

10. Children's Privacy Our services are intended solely for use by authorized representatives of commercial Client Accounts. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

11. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify account administrators of material changes and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
